Week 12 – Master Key 2018: You Can Be What You Will To Be

Thomas and John Maxwell - Color - Aug 2016Would it be OK if your 2018 was better than your 2017?

Would it be OK if I showed you how?

You can be what you will to be, thanks to the Seven Laws of the Mind:

Law of Substitution:  We cannot think about two things at the same time. If a negative thought enters your mind, try to think about any positive thing or any fond memory.

My comment:  Whenever I get a negative thought or have negative self-talk, I switch to saying this statement which gets me in a positive mindset and refocused on my business, “I am elated to be a Servant Leader who knows, goes and shows the way, and because of this I am very wealthy for life.”

Law of Relaxation:  Mental effort defeats itself ~ exactly the opposite of physical effort. A relaxed, calm state of mind is the only doorway to progress mentally. Relaxation of thought is the only access to Infinite Intelligence.

My comment:  Doing my meditative “sit” for 15 minutes a day.  Controlling my thoughts.   Progress is happening for me.

Law of Practice:   Practice makes perfect.  The 5Ps – Persistent Practice Produces Perfect Performance.

My comment:  We all know the importance of practice for anything that really matters.   Often, we just don’t do it because we have this (fake) ‘story’ that we are too busy.  Here’s a mantra that you can use now and in the new year:  “Do it now!”

Law of Forgiveness:  To access the Divine and connect the subconscious to the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent Creator we must forgive everyone and anyone to clear the channel. There can be no connection to the Divine mind where anger or resentment against a brother or sister, justified or not, exists.

My comment:  Just let it go.   Who are you carrying that baggage for, anyway?   Please don’t carry any resentment or baggage into the new year.   Leave the past in the past if you want to create a new future.

Law of Dual Thought:   Thought is a combination of ideation and feeling. We can attach any feeling to a thought we want.

My comment:  For example, if you got a disappointing raise this year with your end-of-year performance review, you can simply use that as a reminder that your long-term priority is to build your own independent business.  After all, you may have already decided that by the end of next year your passive monthly income from your own business will enable you to leave your day job, anyway.   Now, it is a positive motivation for your long term future!  Another example might be when you attach love to the idea of helping others; you welcome obstacles and you can easily overcome the obstacles.

I Can Be What I Will To BeLaw of Subconscious:  As soon as the subconscious accepts the idea it becomes a demand and it works constantly, 24-7, to manifest demand, accessing a reservoir of infinite resources.

My comment:  Read the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.  We learned the following in this Master Key course… “The subconscious can and will solve any problem for us if we know how to direct it. The subconscious processes are always at work; the only question is, are we to be simply passive recipients of this activity, or are we to consciously direct the work?”  To change effects, you must change the cause.   And in this course we have already learned how to control the thoughts in our subconscious mind.

Law of Growth:  Whatever we think about grows. What we forget atrophies.

My comment:  I am thinking about my business.  I am taking daily action in terms of my business and I am enjoying success.  Intention governs attention.  I give my attention to the Definite Major Purposes (DMPs) of the folks on my team.  When I do that, their business grows, and my income grows as a result.  (If we ‘think’ we are struggling, the Law of Growth takes over, and we struggle.  If we think we are making progress every day, the Law of Growth takes over, and our progress accelerates.)

I am elated to be a Servant Leader who knows, goes and shows the way, and because of this I am very wealthy for life.

I have come so far already.  Today I begin a new life.

It is definitely time to ‘Think and Grow Rich’.
