Let’s have some fun! The greatest of the great reinvent themselves when needed to take advantage of new opportunities.
I have been given eyes to see and a mind to think and now I know a great secret of life for I perceive, at last, that all my problems, discouragements, and heartaches are, in truth, great opportunities in disguise. I will no longer be fooled by the garments they wear for mine eyes are open. I will look beyond the cloth and I will not be deceived.
The above quote is from Og Mandino in The Greatest Salesman in the World.
If you have studied the book Think and Grow Rich, you are familiar with the formula for success:
DMP (Definite Major Purpose) + PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) + WPOA (Written Plan of Action) + MMA (Master Mind Alliance)
It is very easy to reinvent yourself. Recently, we have focused on the virtue of kindness, and kindness manifested itself all over the place. This week I am focused on the virtue of industriousness.
Industry – Lose no time; be always employed in something useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.
In other words, I am putting in the hard work. (Hint: It is easier when you enjoy your work.)
People are often caught up in measuring up to others. And the result is that they are stranded in a place called “never enough”. I have my own goals, and I don’t measure myself against others.
Nine words can help us move from “comparing” to creating. The words are:
What did I do right?
What can I improve?
I am elated to be a Servant Leader who knows, goes and shows the way, and because of this I am very wealthy for life.
I have come so far already. Today I begin a new life.
It is definitely time to ‘Think and Grow Rich’.
