Week 19 – Master Key 2018: The Last Day of Your Life

Kyle Wilson - partner of Jim Rohn - Jan 2018This week I got to hear and meet Kyle Wilson – Founder of Jim Rohn International – after he spoke at our company event.   For many that are passionate about personal development, Jim Rohn is one of the all-time greats.   My new contact Kyle was his business partner for 18 years, and Kyle brought all of the Jim Rohn products to market.  It was nice to get the Jim Rohn quote book from Kyle as well.

I will live this day as if it is my last.  And what shall I do with this last precious day, which remains in my keeping?  First, I will seal up its container of life so that not one drop spills itself upon the sand.  I will waste not a moment mourning yesterday’s misfortunes, yesterday’s defeats, yesterday’s aches of the heart, for why should I throw good after bad?   Can sand flow upward in the hourglass?  Will the sun rise where it sets and set where it rises?  Can I relive the errors of yesterday and right them?  Can I call back yesterday’s wounds and make them whole?  Can I become younger than yesterday?  Can I take back the evil that was spoken, the blows that were struck, the pain that was caused?  No.  Yesterday is buried forever and I will think of it no more.

The preceding words of Og Mandino are in Scroll V in The Greatest Salesman in the World.  As my network marketing team is in the middle of an exciting national expansion, I must live each day with focus right now.  I cannot wallow in regret about a missed opportunity from last year, or a time in the past where I did not say the perfect thing in a presentation.   I am dramatically improving my skills and efficiency today to enable myself to take advantage of all of the opportunity on the table as we now offer discounted mobile phone service and also Virtual MD (telehealth) service.  And our company is expanding our core electricity business into new energy markets.  It is a very exciting time.  I have everything I need to win right now.  Here is more from Og Mandino:

I will avoid with fury the killers of time. Procrastination I will destroy with action; doubt I will bury under faith; fear I will dismember with confidence.  Where there are idle mouths I will listen not; where there are idle hands I will linger not; where there are idle bodies I will visit not.  Henceforth I know that to court idleness is to steal food, clothing, and warmth from those I love.  I am not a thief.  I am a man of love and today is my last chance to prove my love and my greatness.

Growing continually in my network marketing skills gives me the confidence to reach out to people.  As my team sees the manifestation of my skills and confidence, they imitate me and bring more potential Associates to the table.  Our short company video does 97% percent of the work, and I have the ability to do the other 3% with excellence.  My job is simply to present all of the information and to help my growing team of Associates collect decisions from prospects as they begin their own “Hero’s Journey“.  The battle cry is “Do It Now!”

If we are living each day like it is our last, will we not have kind words for our children?   Will we not have a loving embrace for our spouse or significant other?   Will we not be supportive of our friends and their dreams?  Will we not refrain from complaining?   In short, we would be industrious.  We would be thankful.  We would be kind.  We would make it the best and most meaningful day of our life if we knew it was our last day.

Now I always ask myself, “What would the person I intend to become do next?”

I am elated to be a Servant Leader who knows, goes and shows the way, and because of this I am very wealthy for life.

I have come so far already.  Today I begin a new life.  It is definitely time to ‘Think and Grow Rich’.
